Introduction
In this course you will deepen your knowledge gained in the basic and advanced course and expand your knowledge in the field of troubleshooting in hardware, software and maintenance. Another focus of the course is to teach you skills for modifying an existing program. After this training, you will be able to find and eliminate errors faster. You increase your productivity by reducing system downtime.

Content
- Structure of the hardware (mechanical / electrical).
- Addressing the input and output cards.
- Testing the hardware and the process.
- Structured commissioning of the program.
- Changing small bugs.
- Make a backup copy of the definitive program.
- Fault types (internal and external faults).
- Process investigation, use of documentation.
- Error in input and output cards / hardware diagnostics with STEP7.
- Change incorrect settings in the program; Timers, counters and data words.
- Fault analysis using I-STACK and diagnostics buffer for program and hardware errors.
- Practical exercises.
Training takes place on SIMATIC 300/400 stations with system model. For the individual topics exercises for deepening are carried out. We use original SIEMENS STEP 7 programming software.
