itsme Industrial Automation has existed for 30 years. From its beginnings as a support company, the team of application engineers and product specialists now offers much more: webinars, online learning and training courses; itsme Industrial Automation supports each client with specific and detailed information from an international perspective, across the borders of the countries.
Connoisseur of the extensive seminars attended by many visitors attending the same exhibition, Klaas de Vos, manager of itsme Industrial Automation, states that there is nothing wrong with it. But what happens if a client hears in an event of such magnitude what exactly applies to him? “I don't think that could happen. The customer is always given much more specific, unique, concrete and updated information. Because that's exactly what we do: we approach the customer, now more than ever. ”

From a reactive to proactive attitude. 

That is, in essence, the development of itsme Industrial Automation, which turned 30 at the beginning of this year. Klaas reflects for a moment on that anniversary and on his team of application engineers and product specialists. Is it time for a broad retrospective? Not at all. In itsme Industrial Automation they prefer to look forward to a future in which the team offers the customer multilateral support. Consider, for example, the training courses and workshops taught by Klaas himself. “We want to meet the customer and that starts with ourselves. Instead of sitting down, we help our clients make their own decisions. And we will continue to do so from a wider assortment in the near future, through online learning and webinars. 

International automation

Let's not misunderstand what Klaas means; Of course, it is not he or his employees who decide in each case what the organization should do. “What we want is to support that organization as effectively as possible, in all the countries in which we work and as a single team. We collect all our experience and literally cross borders. And where we present ourselves as an international partner, we also pave the way for our company in other areas. Industrial automation now requires a well structured combination of movement and control. And we are at the forefront, with a vision of mechatronics beyond brands. ”

"We build bridges to other disciplines"

According to Klaas, not long ago an industrial automation engineer had to ensure compatibility between brands. “Today things have changed a lot. Companies can now do their own programming, which completely changes the definition of the components. Mechanics is becoming increasingly important, and the role of analytics within IT increases all the time. With so many developments, we advise the client as well as possible ”.
In this consulting function, itsme Industrial Automation can give key information to the end user about, for example, the gradual obsolescence of a product and, consequently, contribute to predictive maintenance. Machine builders, in turn, benefit from that support by implementing new technologies. Klaas adds: “We know the latest developments, for which we develop workshops, among other things. In this way, we can quickly judge where the client has to act and also, what is equally important, where he has no action. ”

Training for thousands

In 2018, itsme Industrial Automation obtained 970 customers by phone, distributed among the five countries in which our companies are located. Together, those customers made almost 3750 calls. Klaas emphasizes that “we must not forget that we never stop offering technical support. That is our base. And, of course, we will continue to solve customer problems. ”
Even so, itsme Industrial Automation now offers much more than customer service. From being a pioneer company that started when there was little knowledge of PLCs, the team has become a provider of multiple services and solutions. Just think of the almost 70 different types of training that itsme Industrial Automation has given to more than 25,000 people in all areas in recent years, focused on the products and systems of the leading brands of industrial automation. Klaas adds: "It is precisely that wide assortment that provides personalized training for the needs of each client."

"You can wait, but you can also anticipate"

Nothing seems safe for the next thirty years. Hence the intention of itsme Industrial Automation to respond as soon as possible to everything that plays a role within its field of work. According to Klaas, you just have to see the shortage of well-qualified technicians. “It is true that the software is becoming increasingly preponderant, so our customers have to ask themselves which one suits them best. And of course you can wait, but you can also anticipate. We are happy to help you with the latter. ”

A team for five countries

itsme Industrial Automation started thirty years ago with an employee and an intern. Very different from what it is now, with a team of a total of 25 application engineers and product specialists. Experience and specific knowledge are combined by focusing on the five countries where itsme companies are located. From Holland, Belgium and Germany to Romania and Spain: itsme Industrial Automation team members gather their experience to apply across borders. Because itsme Industrial Automation's approach today is international, as well as individual and personalized.
